Invincible Summer
“In the middle of winter I at last discovered that there was in me an invincible summer.” ― Albert Camus, “Return to Tipasa” in The Myth of Sisyphus, Justin O’Brien Translation 1955
First big snow of the year here in my region. I did a little digging for some quotes on winter. There’s so many different interpretations of winter metaphors in literature and philosophy, But I think this is a good one to leave open for now. An absurdist needs to keep that invincible summer in mind when winter strikes, whatever that winter is.
